FAQs

Q. Does Rose Chiropractic accept insurance for massage therapy?

A. We have two massage therapists in-network with BCBS, but it’s been our experience that the large majority of insurance plans only cover massage therapy when performed by an MD, DO, DC, or PT and NOT an MT. In most cases, the patient is left with the full balance after insurance denies coverage.

Q. What conditions do you typically treat with chiropractic, acupuncture, and massage therapy?

A. We commonly help with back and neck pain, headaches/migraines, joint stiffness, sciatica, muscle tension, sports injuries, stress-related issues, and certain types of chronic pain. Chiropractic focuses on spinal alignment and joint function, acupuncture supports pain relief and overall balance, and massage therapy addresses soft-tissue tension and circulation. Many patients benefit from a combination of these approaches.

Q. Can I receive more than one service (chiropractic, acupuncture, and/or massage) in the same visit?

A. Yes. Many patients combine treatments in a single appointment when clinically appropriate. Your provider will recommend a plan based on your evaluation—for example, massage or acupuncture followed by chiropractic adjustments. Combining services can enhance results, but we’ll always prioritize safety and what your body needs that day.

Q. How long are treatment sessions?

A. The duration of your visit depends on the treatment you’re receiving and if this is your first time with us. Massage therapy sessions are either 30 minutes or 60 minutes. A chiropractic exam may require 30-45 minutes while typical sessions are 10-15 minutes. Acupuncture sessions last between 15-30 minutes.

Q. Are the treatments painful?

A. Chiropractic adjustments are usually quick and produce a light pressure or mild “popping” sensation that most people find treatments relieving rather than painful. Acupuncture involves very fine needles and is typically described as a mild tingling or dull ache at most. Massage pressure is always adjusted to your comfort level. We communicate throughout so you stay comfortable.
